Our Story

To be frank, the name “Najao” emerged spontaneously. It was easy to pronounce, it stuck with me, and I bought the domain in 2014. I always had the idea of using the website to do something useful.

Nearly ten years later, I finally decided what I want to do: I want to contribute to the research community. Through my experience as an experimental scientist during my PhD and postdoc, and later during my startup tenure, I’ve seen that researchers face many barriers to their work and success. Often, those barriers become so overwhelming that many people leave research and move into other disciplines. But we need more researchers, and we need them to do work that is truly useful.

For that to happen, researchers must be able to focus on their core expertise: research. They should not be weighed down by too many non-core responsibilities. I believe this can only happen if researchers have a trusted ally who can take care of most non-core tasks, available at short notice.

Such services, I believe, would be valuable to the research community regardless of the field, including science, social science, and humanities. So even though “Najao” did not originally have a specific meaning, I later shaped an interpretation to fit the mission. In Arabic, “Naja” means success, so “Najao” can be understood as ensuring success in a full cycle. In Bengali, “Najao” can be read as “don’t go,” which suggests that Najao will always be beside researchers, ready to help whenever the need arises. The term “Inovix” evokes the association with the innovative community of researchers.

We are starting Najao with a scientific communication vertical, and over time we will expand our offerings as we build trust and demonstrate our usefulness to the research community. Our aim is to build a trusted brand around Najao.
